“I feel extremely grateful and overwhelmed upon qualifying as a finalist for the 2018 Inspiring Science Award. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cell Press-TNQ India Team and the jury members for recognizing our research. Our work reveals a novel inflammatory mechanism that regulates trafficking of immune cells into lymph nodes that have implications in autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. Recognition of this work gives me a sense of accomplishment and motivation to carry on the good science in the future. I would also like to share a part of the credit with my mentor Dr. Soumen Basak for his support and guidance. In addition, the outreach of Cell Press-TNQ India Distinguished Lectureship Series has been excellent since its start, which has created awareness and a platform for the upliftment of the scientific potential in India. A BIG THANK YOU to the Cell Press-TNQ India Team!”

“I am extremely delighted and humbled to have been selected as one of the finalists of 2018 Inspiring Science Award. The annual Cell Press TNQ Lectureship Series with distinguished speakers is an exceptional and outstanding event for bridging the gap between international and indian scientific community and inspiring young Indian researchers. The Inspiring Science Award is a great initiative to recognise work of young Indian researchers in Life Sciences.”
“This recognition gives me immense pleasure for our discovery that shows Lysophosphatidic Acid converts monocytes into macrophages in both mice and humans and gives a paradigm shift in the role tumor associated macrophages (TAMs) in tumor microenvironment. I express my gratitute to my mentor, Dr. Vivek Rai for his scientific temperament and his persistent inspiration to work for scientific development. I thank Cell Press-TNQ for recognising my work and hope this initiative continues to inspire and motivate young Indian researchers to contribute to overall development and growth in the field of biology and medicine.”
