e expected a good response to the lectures in Bangalore, the centre for Indian science. Even so, it exceeded all expectations with close to 2000 people in a hall that seats 750. We had to turn away many.


Opening remarks:
"Wow. This is probably the largest audience to ever hear a lecture about MicroRNAs. I hope you all know what you're in for."

Concluding remarks:
"You know what? There are people in this audience who know a lot more about aspects of MicroRNAs than I do... and I think we've reached the point where you should be getting up here and talking, not me, and so I think we're going to close this afternoon."
